Severe Weather Today
The severe weather today will be focused along the northeastern coast of Florida and coastal Georgia as Tropical Storm Fay continues to impact the Florida Peninsula. The thunderstorms within the rain bands will be capable of producing tornadoes due to increasing low level wind shear over the region. The thunderstorms will also be capable of heavy downpours and naturally very strong wind gusts over 50 mph.
No other locations are expected to be impacted by severe weather however strong thunderstorms will be possible over the southern and central Plains along with the central Rockies.
