Tropical Storm Hanna Moving Over Forecast Area
Tropical Storm Hanna or what is quickly becoming the remnants of Hanna, is starting to move over southern New Jersey and will progress towards Long Island this evening.
The heavy rain will now focus from central and northern New Jersey through southern New York and Connecticut. Hanna is still retaining some tropical characteristics, especially on the northern and eastern side of the circulation where heavy rain and strong thunderstorms rotate over central New Jersey and moving towards northern New Jersey and New York City.
As the evening progresses, the rain will end from southwest to northeast. The rain has ended fro Cape May County and southwestern New Jersey. Expect heavy rain to continue through the entire evening for northern New Jersey, New York City, Long Island, southern Hudson Valley, and Connecticut.
