Coastal Flood Watch Has Been Issued For Coastal New Jersey Through This Evening.
Small Craft Advisory Has Been Issued For All Coastal Waters Through This Evening.
An area of low pressure will move through the coastal waters this afternoon and evening with periods of heavy rain, which will produce reduced visibility as low as 1 mile at times. Strong high pressure over the Great Lakes will build into the Mid Atlantic late tonight through Saturday morning, producing clearing skies and drying conditions. High pressure will remain in control through Sunday.
Winds will be from the northeast around 10 to 20 mph, increasing to 15 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph in the afternoon and evening. Winds will back to the north around 1o to 20 mph late tonight, decreasing to 5 to 15 mph by Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon, winds will be from the west around 5 to 15 mph and then become light and variable through Sunday.
Temperatures will rise into the upper 50’s to mid 60’s for afternoon highs today. On Saturday, temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 50’s for lows and rebound into the lower to mid 70’s for afternoon highs. On Sunday, temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50’s for lows and rebound into the mid to upper 70’s for highs.
Water temperatures will range from the lower to upper 60’s throughout the coastal waters. The warmest locations can be found in the Delaware Bay and river.
Wave heights will range from 3 to 5 feet through Saturday and then subside to 2 to 4 feet on Sunday.
