High pressure will move through the forecast area today and Sunday with generally clear skies and dry conditions. A warm front will develop over the southern Mid Atlantic on Monday morning and move north through the afternoon. Expect increasing clouds with scattered showers and thunderstorms by the afternoon.
Winds will be from the north and northwest around 5 to 10 mph through the morning and then become light and variable through the afternoon. Tonight, as high pressure positions itself off the coast, winds will veer to the southwest around 5 to 15 mph. On Sunday and Monday, winds will be from the south and southwest around 10 to 20 mph.
Temperatures will rise into the upper 60’s to lower 70’s for afternoon highs. On Sunday, temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 50’s for morning lows and then rebound into the mid to upper 70’s for afternoon highs. On Monday, temperatures will fall into the upper 50’s to mid 60’s for lows and rebound into the lower to upper 70’s for highs.
Water temperatures will range from the lower to upper 60’s throughout the coastal waters. The warmest locations can be found in the Delaware Bay and river.
Wave heights will range from 2 to 4 feet today through Monday.
