Overcast skies, foggy conditions, and scattered showers can be expected through this afternoon as a warm front slowly lifts northward.  Scattered showers and a few isolated thunderstorms are expected this evening through Friday morning with otherwise overcast conditions as an area of low pressure approaches from the Ohio Valley.  On Friday, a cold front will move through in the early afternoon with additional scattered showers and strong thunderstorms.  High pressure will build into the coastal waters from the Great Lakes with partly cloudy skies on Friday night through Saturday.  There is potential for fog and low clouds on Saturday morning. 

Winds will be from the east around 5 to 15 mph through the morning and increasing to 10 to 20 mph by the afternoon.  This evening, winds will veer to the southeast around 10 to 20 mph.  On Friday morning, as a cold front approaches, winds will continue to veer to the south and southwest around 15 to 30 mph, especially over the open waters.  As the cold front moves through on Friday afternoon, winds will veer to the northwest around 10 to 20 mph.  By Friday night through Saturday, winds will be from the north and northeast around 5 to 15 mph.  

Temperatures will rise into the mid 60’s to lower 70’s for afternoon highs this afternoon.  On Friday, temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 60’s for morning lows and rebound into the mid to upper 70’s for highs.  On Saturday, temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 60’s for lows and rebound into the mid to upper 70’s for highs.  

Water temperatures will range from the lower to upper 60’s over much of the coastal waters and upper 60’s to lower 70’s in the Delaware Bay.

Wave heights will range from 2 to 4 feet through forecast period.
