Partly cloudy skies can be expected through this afternoon. A weak disturbance will move through the region in the evening with a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Clear to partly cloudy conditions will return by Sunday morning as high pressure moves south of the coastal waters. However, another disturbance will attempt to slide through the coastal waters on Sunday evening with another threat of widely scattered showers and thunderstorms. On Monday, a cold front, the first of a series, will move through the region with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the mid afternoon through evening hours.
Winds will be from the west and northwest around 5 to 15 mph today and tonight. On Sunday morning, winds will veer from the northwest to northeast around 5 to 15 mph. On Sunday evening, as a cold front approaches, winds will continue to veer towards the southeast around 5 to 15 mph. On Monday morning, winds will continue to veer towards the south around 5 to 15 mph. As a cold front approaches on Monday afternoon winds will continue to veer to the west around 10 to 20 mph with higher gusts in and around thunderstorms.
Temperatures will rise upper 70’s to lower 80’s this afternoon. On Sunday, temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 60’s for lows and rebound into the mid 70’s to lower 80’s for afternoon highs. On Monday, temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 60’s for lows and rebound into the upper 70’s to lower 80’s for highs.
Water temperatures will range from the mid 60’s to lower 70’s throughout the coastal waters.
Wave heights will range from 2 to 4 feet through the period with higher swells in and around thunderstorms.
