A quiet week ahead

Sorry for the late update. I don’t know why, but Sunday’s always seem to be the day where I sleep the most. I promise that won’t be an issue for winter storms though. Those storms are like caffeine for me.
The water vapor this morning shows us that the strong Polar/Sub Tropical phased jet stream over the Plains is finally kicking this coastal storm out into the Atlantic. Plenty of low level moisture still is linger around the immediate coast to produce fog, drizzle, and overcast conditions. However, a cold front over the Ohio Valley will move through the northern Mid Atlantic today with a few isolated showers in the early afternoon. Otherwise, slow clearing can be expected.
High pressure over the western Great Lakes will slowly slide east over the next 24 hours towards the eastern Great Lakes and build into the northern Mid Atlantic. The high pressure system is of Polar/Pacific origin and will promote not only dry conditions and clear skies through the week but also above normal temperatures. No significant storm is expected through at least Friday. So if you want to spend a week in the outdoors before winter comes, this is the week to do it!
An area of low pressure will approach the New York City and Philadelphia metropolitan area on Saturday with increasing clouds and scattered showers. High pressure will take hold for a short time on Monday before the start of the major pattern change around Thanksgiving week.
