Based on the latest observations with this storm, significant changes to the snow forecast had to be made. The steady, heavy snowfall is clearly focused from the Delaware River on east through Connecticut and the New York City metropolitan area. The Philadelphia metropolitan area is on the edge of the steady snowfall but will likely see snowfall totals around 3 or 4 inches. Points to the west can expect a trace to two inches of snow via snow showers through this evening. Winds are also becoming less of an issue with forecasted winds from the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 40 mph.
