Windy and cold today, warmer and wet this weekend

Cold high pressure will produce scattered cloud cover through tomorrow with chilly conditions expected.

A strong northwesterly wind at 10 to 20 mph will produce wind chills in the 10’s and 20’s with the threat for a few flurries at times.  Dry conditions and scattered cloud cover can be expected tonight on through tomorrow.  Winds will weaken to 5 to 15 mph from the west tonight on through tomorrow.  Temperatures through the period will range from the mid to upper 30’s over the interior and upper 30’s to lower 40’s along the coast for highs and upper 10’s to lower 20’s for lows.

A warm front will approach from the southwest with period of rain and snow showers on Friday afternoon and evening.  An area of low pressure will develop along the coast on Saturday afternoon through Sunday with periods of rain for most locations and a mix of rain and snow over the interior and elevations above 1,000 feet.  Temperatures through the period will range from the lower to mid 30’s for lows and mid to upper 40’s for highs.

High pressure will produce tranquil weather conditions on Monday with scattered cloud cover.  Another area of low pressure will produce rain along the coast and a mix of rain and snow over the interior on Tuesday.  Temperatures will range from the upper 20’s to lower 30’s and mid to upper 40’s for highs.
