Steve,
Excellent and very informative material posted today! This information., hopefully stifles many of the lame Q's you are constantly answering over and over again. If anyone out there has a true passion for weather, then I strongly suggest EDUCATE THY SELF. Read and study all of Steve's' material and read a book or two! You will truly be able to appreciate maps, models and all the fascinating complexities of the weather a great deal more. Accolades to Steve for sharing his remarkable PASSION and SKILL his audience.

I'm in the NW corner of the Bronx. Definitely straddling your line. Up to 6-7 inches by 1300 hrs then rain, sleet, resulting in alot of compression and wash away. Last hour appears that the snow is attempting to build back in.

Thanks for all your work and education

Hi Steve: I find it very interesting to read the met discussion differences between the Upton and Albany NWS. As Albany places the low inland between NYC and Scranton while Upton favors a just offshore solution. This appears to create huge forecast differences with far higher snow totals predicted by Upton which has 12-18" for the lower Hudson Valley compared to Albany's 3-6" for the Mid-Hudson Valley. You seem to be closer to Upton's ideas. Comments?
