The following snow and wind observations are from the National Weather Service. There were many areas that received heavy snow via the mesoscale banding that developed within this storm, however there were also some areas that received less than expected because of the influence of mesoscale banding. Overall, verification came in rather well on [...]

I’ve just spent the past hour and a half shoveling the 10 to 12 inches of snow sitting on my drive way. Let me tell you, shoveling this snow is no joke. For those of you with the unlucky task of having to shovel this stuff, remember bend at the knees not the back!

BE A TOTAL [...]

The precipitation with this storm is moving slightly faster than thought last night by about 3 hours. The dry slot is moving through the forecast area now rather than at 8 AM, however the intensity of the snow did not disappoint. Snowfall totals throughout the forecast around range from 1.8″ to 12″, but a [...]

Moderate snow has overspread the entire Philadelphia and New York City metros including much of New Jersey. Locally in Freehold, snow is falling at a moderate to heavy clip with visibility falling below a mile to 3/4 of a mile. The sky is a light pink, indicating heavy snow and the winds are picking [...]
