Hurricane Ike continues to strengthen this morning and will likely reach category 3 strength by this afternoon or early evening. As discussed about an hour ago, the water vapor and IR satellite images clearly showed Bertha under going southwesterly shear and weakening. As of the 11 AM up date, Bertha is now a category 2 hurricane with winds at 105 mph and a pressure of 970 MB. I expect Bertha to continue to weaken and [...]
