A deep trough is digging into the Gulf of Mexico and will continue to sink south into the western Caribbean Sea. Strong shear will dominate from the Gulf of Mexico through the central Caribbean Sea as a result, preventing any potential for development over the next 48 hours.

Once again, there are no signs of tropical development across the Atlantic this morning.
Strong wester shear dominates from the Gulf Coast through the Atlantic inhibiting any disturbance from developing into an organized tropical system.
A strong upper low is also to the northeast of Africa and is also producing strong shear along the African coast.
