Rain, snow, and ice on the way

Rain, sleet, and even some snow is racing northward and eastward from the southern Mid Atlantic and Ohio Valley. A coastal low is slowly forming off the North Carolina coast while pressure is quickly falling throughout the Tennessee Valley and Mid Atlantic.

Snow is starting to enter southeastern Pennsylvania in the past hour. Light snow is now falling over southern Pennsylvania, however heavier precipitation is on the way over Ohio and West Virginia. Strong lifting is also beginning to intensify precipitation over Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
