Well, after a very active afternoon and evening, much more quiet conditions can be expected through this entire weekend. While I’m sure everyone will keep an eye on the tropics, I mean I am, the weather for this area can be described as comfortable, pleasant, and perfect for out door birthday parties!

Here are some thoughts I’ll cover in the technical forecast discussion.

1. High pressure for everyone, well almost.

2. Trough? What trough?

3. Fay to cause havoc and heavy rain.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms again. These thunderstorms have the potential to be just as strong as yesterday’s with the added possibility of isolated tornadoes! There will also be a growing threat of wide spread flooding over the forecast area. The upper low will spin through the region today, but good news is on the way with high pressure dominating through the weekend and most of next week! Thoughts to be covered in the Technical Forecast Discussion:

1. Severe weather today, tranquil conditions tomorrow.

2. Let’s build a ridge!

3. Tropical trouble?

This upper low sure is going to be pesky over the next several days. While there is no organized strong surface low over the next few days, a series of disturbances rotating around the upper low will ensure the risk for scattered showers and thunderstorms each day. As we learned last week, those disturbances can lead to some nasty thunderstorms in the afternoon, so you’ve been warned.

Thoughts to be covered in the technical forecast discussion:

1. It just goes round and round.

2. Change in the pattern?

3. Warm and humid, but what about hot?
