Clouds are already building over much of the northern Mid Atlantic this afternoon in response to the increasing moisture from the Atlantic as the high pressure system that has produced great weather conditions the past few days now exits into the Atlantic. High pressure is currently to the east of the Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan area producing light and variable winds and relatively warm temperatures. Comfortable conditions are expect through tomorrow afternoon with highs pushing well into the 50’s for most locations for highs with the exception of the immediate coast where temperatures will [...]

The water vapor satellite picture shows the next upper level low that will bring snow to much of the northern Mid Atlantic. However, this time, the focus of the heaviest snowfall will be focused more towards the northwestern interior rather than the coastal plain.
Today through tomorrow afternoon, high pressure will move through the region. [...]

The current trends on the radar and the satellite basically support the forecast that I issued this morning. I don’t expect much in the way of precipitation north of central New Jersey through the immediate northwest suburbs of Philadelphia from this developing low pressure.
This evening, a new coastal low is forming off the South [...]
