The tropical Atlantic continues to remain quiet as strong troughs over the Gulf of Mexico, western Atlantic, and western Caribbean continue to inhibit any development of tropical waves moving to the east. A weakening upper low over the eastern Caribbean continues to produce shear throughout much of the Caribbean this morning that will continue over the next 48 hours.
