The snow storm from yesterday marked another step down into what is looking to be very cold and active end of December. As the low pressure system [...]

Weak high pressure is exiting off this coast through this afternoon while a very weak cold front is pushing south through New England and the eastern Great Lakes this morning. This cold front will be a key player through much of this coming weak, as I will explain shortly.

All this warm weather is making me think of baseball!
After a very warm day yesterday where temperatures soared into the 50’s and even 60’s, a cold front moved through last evening to knock temperatures back to more seasonable levels. High pressure will move right over the forecast area today with clear skies and light [...]

The weather will be no excuse this weekend on whether retail sales will be up or down, that’s for sure! The upper level pattern at this current time has the storm track well north and west of the forecast area. The negative NAO is still developing and the current block is not in place [...]

Instead of the several days of warm conditions, the developing negative NAO and pattern amplification will give the forecast area two warm days and some perfect timing for the weekend! Well, almost perfect as I expect rain, but at least there won’t be any serious travel problems.
A cold front will slowly move towards [...]
